2008 Bike MS NYC – Team MS GREAT 8
Team MS Great-8 is a cycling team started by Mike Zimits and Catherine Tzigakos in 2007. MS Great 8 is about making the most of various MS 150 bike tours around the USA. Team MS Great-8 is a collaborative effort structured under a single series each year. MS Great-8 is about the power of the pedal and people all rolling towards the cure! Mike Zimits who lives with MS is the team Captain and Catherine Tsigaskos, whose brother Peter also lives with MS, is Co-Captain of the MS Great 8. This year will be the first time that MS Great 8 has Canadian team members riding with them towards the cure. But not the last time!

October 5, 2008Renting My Bike in New York Was Easy!
October 5, 2008
I arrived at Pier 94 at 6:15 in the pouring rain! I filled out a few forms then picked up my hybrid bike with the help of Itai who was relaxed and ready to go! I had to change out the pedals for my baskets. It wasn’t that much fun in the dark and rain! After completing the ride around Manhattan, I simply rode over to the rental tent, got my name check-off and returned the bike to Itai who was waiting to load them! Getting a rental bike was easy and saved lots of added stresses on the plane and in taxis! I have already reserved my bike for next year! Thank for all the support Itai! See you next year!

Dianne Perrote of Laramie, WY and Alan at Strawberry Fields in Central Park
Imagine a complete stranger asking to donate to my Bike MC NYC ride! When Nina and Alan were sitting listneing to music at Strawberry Fields in Central Park, they met Dianne Perrote from Laramie, WY who was also enjoying the music. After a few minutes, she asked if she could make a donation to my MS ride! This is truly what the generosity of human spirit is all about!
